Most have heard about the well-publicised issues regarding the global semi-conductor shortage that’s affecting many industries in terms of stock, including the telecommunications industry. But there could be an equally critical issue on the horizon, there’s a shortage of Haribo deliveries!

Expecting a couple of bags of Haribo with your Pragma order comes second nature – we know some of you even order things separately to get more Haribo with each order! Should the shortage start to affect our Haribo stock, we could potentially face a similar issue that KFC had a few years ago when they ran out of chicken – remember that?

Haribo themselves have spoken out and confirmed they are “working flat out to manage the situation”.

Due to lorry driver shortages, the deliveries of the sweets are seeming more difficult than usual. A Haribo spokesperson commented, “We are working with partners across the food and drink industry to address and respond to this problem.”

This issue doesn’t just affect the parents and guardians that bribe their children with the confectionary but also the iPECS professionals who pick out the little orange or blue bag before anything else in their Pragma box when it arrives. The lorry driver shortage could have a knock-on effect that potentially shortens our supply of Haribo we keep in our warehouse.

Our team are always on hand to keep you updated when orders are affected in any way but if you have any concerns, please get in touch.

It’s not tang-fastic news, but we thank you for bearing with us!
