Pragma has completed the acquisition of Techland, a leading value-added distributor and Platinum Partner of Ribbon’s UC enablement technology solutions and formed ‘EnableX Group’. EnableX focuses on enabling the reseller channel with technology propositions that deliver growth across their three brands: Pragma, Candio and Techland.
Techland has seen significant growth in its recurring revenues and has supported resellers as their enterprise end-users adopt Microsoft Teams and Zoom collaboration applications into their technology stack through deploying Ribbon technologies. Techland products and channel-only focus, strongly complement the existing Pragma businesses and broadens the offering and addressable market.
EnableX Group will support over 250 resellers and vendor relationships with global leaders, including Ericsson-LG, Ribbon and SO Connect as key partnerships. The Group will continue its focused support and reseller centric service model through three go to market brands Pragma, Candio and Techland, under the new holding company called EnableX Group.
The new Group will be led by Will Morey as Chief Executive and Dean Mayer as Chief Financial Officer. Tim Brooks will continue to be a key part of the leadership team supporting the ongoing growth of the business as Commercial Director.
Will Morey, Chief Executive and EnableX Group, commented: “This transaction is a fantastic opportunity for us to continue to build a strong and growing business that remains 100% dedicated to the reseller channel. The similar ethos and culture of both businesses was a huge driver in getting this deal done and underpins our clear focus on continuing to bring winning propositions to high growth resellers.”
The acquisition and new group provides significant capability to support resellers across multiple technologies and continues to drive digital transformation opportunities for the channel.
Techland opens up significant opportunities for the Group in supporting deployments of Microsoft Teams and Zoom with Ribbon SBCs and direct routing as-a-service technologies, whilst Pragma UCaaS and Candio SaaS continue to deliver high adoption rates through their fast-growing channels.
Chris Morrisey, Managing Director at Lily Communications, commented: “We are delighted to see a key supplier continue their growth journey and this transaction gives us access to a broader technology proposition. Congratulations to Will, Dean and the entire team on the deal, we wish them well on the next stage of their journey.”
EnableX Group worked with Knight Corporate Finance to raise growth funding from BOOST&Co to enable this transaction and support its plans for continued growth across its three business areas.
Dean Mayer, Chief Financial Officer at EnableX Group, commented: “This provides an excellent opportunity to accelerate the growth of Techland within the EnableX Group. Having spent most of my career in private equity, I have been looking to invest and play a role in driving growth in a fast-moving technology business. EnableX is just that and provides a huge opportunity for our vendor partners, resellers and the team”.
Ahed Alkhatib, Global Head of Sales, Ericsson-LG Enterprise, commented: “Working with the team at Pragma has delivered outstanding growth for us in the UK market. This new group provides increased opportunities for all of the stakeholders whilst maintaining their focus and capability on iPECS Cloud and I know the team will continue to be hugely successful”.
